Kansas archdiocese severs ties with Girl Scouts and urges end to cookie sales

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is severing its ties with the Girl Scouts. The archdiocese announced Monday that it is “no longer a compatible partner in helping [them] form young women with the virtues and values of the Gospel”. Instead, the archdiocese will support a 22-year-old Christian-based scouting program called American Heritage Girls.
