Five years ago, leaders of the Kansas City, Kan.-based Boilermakers union took steps to show they were being good stewards of members’ dues after coming under scrutiny for spending practices and a lack of accountability. But a recent examination of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers found that things appear to have returned to business as usual.
